OUR CIVICS TEXTBOOK FUND

Gifts to our Civics Textbook Fund help distribute two compelling civics textbooks, entitled: The State We’re In: Washington----Your guide to state, local and tribal government to all eight public school districts in Thurston County. Age appropriate versions of the highly praised textbooks support both elementary and middle school students.

Both the Education Fund and the Civics Textbook Fund are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Donations to the Education Fund are tax deductible as allowed by law.

OUR ADVOCACY FUND

Gifts to our Advocacy Fund support advocating for a free, fair, and accessible democracy. Please support our efforts by making a donation today!

This donation is NOT TAX DEDUCTIBLE. The League of Women Voters of Thurston County is a 501(C)(4) organization, and can use these funds to promote legislation that reflects LWV principles, along with the League's many other activities.

Make an IRA Charitable Rollover

You can support the League of Women Voters by making a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from your IRA account. Provide your IRA administrator with this information:

What gifts qualify for an IRA charitable rollover?

You must be age 70½ or older when you make your gift.
Your gift must come from a traditional IRA or Roth IRA account (401(k), 403(b), SEP IRA accounts, and other retirement accounts do not qualify.)
Your gift must come directly from your IRA administrator to LWVWA Education Fund.
Your total IRA charitable rollover gifts in any one year cannot exceed $100,000.
Your IRA rollover gift can count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) if you have not already taken your RMD for the year you make your gift.
The gift from your IRA will not be available as an income tax charitable deduction;
The gift from your IRA will be excluded from income.
