About this event
Lacey Community Center - 6729 Pacific Ave. SE Lacey. The program will feature two panel discussions to outline the importance of new work to dismantle institutional racism in schools. The first panel features three state-level leaders who helped pass legislation designed so teachers and administrators can demonstrate cultural responsiveness, and center diversity, equity, and inclusion in the ways to support students.

The second panel will feature students and a parent advocate sharing their own experiences and review Thurston County student data:
*Makiah Grady, president of our BIPOC club at Cascadia High School (Tumwater)
*Gabby Palmer-Tate, 10th grader at River Ridge High School (North Thurston)
*Shereese Rhodes, parent advocate, Director of South King County Discipline Coalition
